Me and My Recent Work…

I have just posted some of the better pieces of design work i have recently completed for college, or well at least my favourites of the many i have done.  They are completed using Adobe Illustrator, depicting various characters from Comic Books. - They are very in trend with the latest minimalist poster designs going around lately.

Basically these designs were an exercise of sort to get myself into swing with Adobe Illustrator since i have never really used it since starting college 5 years ago - How bad is that! - I have finally got into swing with using the pen tool, even creating images with textures using the Opacity Mask options.

I decided to go with using comic book characters (and other subjects) in my designs to keep myself interested in my work, which if i hadn’t then i would have become increasingly bored very quickly with what i was doing. And i couldn’t have that, now could we?! - I basically worked on the characters costumes and emblem/logo’s for the design work. Trying to make it as recognisable as possible. And drawing from a branch of Comic book characters from different publishers etc. Which sadly, all that i have posted at the moment are DC and Marvel Comics related.

Also my designs are that simple, and if i had thought of this sooner, before handing in my work, i could have developed Lego Character designs! Damn me and my lack of thought!

So now that i have finished College until next September i have plenty of time on my hands, well until i find a job that can offer me more hours for the time being, i shall be working more on this minimalist work and attempt at doing more complex work.
